What it is

Collagen pin therapy (microneedling) smooths scarring, fine lines and enlarged pores.

How it works

A pen with very fine needles makes thousands of tiny, controlled channels in the skin. Your skin repairs them by producing new collagen and elastin, and serums applied during treatment absorb more deeply.

Best for

  • Acne scars
  • Fine lines
  • Enlarged pores
  • Stretch marks

What it feels like

A vibrating, scratchy feeling. Numbing cream is applied first.

Downtime

Redness like mild sunburn for 1–3 days, sometimes light flaking.

When you’ll see results

Texture improves over 4–6 weeks after each session; scars soften across the course.

Before your visit

  • Stop retinol 3 days before
  • Reschedule if you have a breakout, cold sore or rash in the area

Aftercare

  • No make-up for 24 hours
  • No gym, sauna or swimming for 48 hours
  • Use gentle products and daily SPF

Who should not have this treatment

We’ll suggest an alternative, or ask you to check with your doctor first, if any of these apply:

  • Active acne flare or skin infection
  • Tendency to keloid scars
  • Blood thinners or bleeding disorders
  • Pregnancy

If you have melanin-rich skin

This treatment uses heat or controlled injury to the skin, which can trigger dark patches in darker skin tones if it isn’t set up carefully. We assess your skin type, start with conservative settings and offer a patch test when there’s any doubt. Daily SPF afterwards protects your results.

This guide is general information. Your therapist confirms whether the treatment suits you after reviewing your health questionnaire at your first visit.
